No Matter Who You Are Or Where You Are On Life's Journey, You Are Welcome Here!

The Confirmation Class received Bibles during worship on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015 during the morning worship service.  This was the start of a two year adventure for five class members, Pastor Paul Emily, and Marita Ray.

The class met for the first time on Sept. 20, 2015.  The police had Main Street blocked when we arrived.  After a short while, they reopened the road and we were allowed to enter the church driveway.  What an exciting beginning for our class!  Pastor Paul expained what Confirmation means – saying “yes” to our baptismal vows.

The Class met together for a few minutes during the Palm Burning Service at James A. Reed Wildlife Area on Sept. 27, 2015 to discuss the meaning of the service and it’s place in the liturgical year.

The confirmands and their families participated in each Sunday’s Advent worship service by lighting the candles on the Advent wreath.

The class enjoyed playing a Bible search game with Pastor Paul during Confirmation class in January, 2016.  Attention, draw your swords, charge!!!

On January 17, 2016, the Confirmation and Youth classes made cookies for the congregation.  After worship, they had a pizza lunch and then went to Steppingstone.  They learned a little about the program there and gave the residents a gift of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.

During class on February 14, 2016, the class worked on learning the names of the Old Testament books.

On the last night of the first year of Confirmation (May 1, 2016), the class celebrated with pizza and a rousing game of Clue.

The class held a lock-in on August 19, 2016.

The Confirmands enjoyed pizza and games at their last Confirmation class before Christmas, 2016.

Members of the Confirmation Class worked at Blue Springs Terrace Pastor’s Home in March, 2017.

On April 2, 2017, the class worked on their answers to questions for their Confirmation Booklet.

On May 7, 2017, the class opened their gift to the congregation.

One of the last class activites was making the banner.  Thanks to the Quilters for making this possible.

The class was confirmed on Pentecost Sunday, June 4, 2017.
